What temperature should hot water be maintained at?

Tempivo monitors hot water against two thresholds over a lookback window (default 7 days).

Default thresholds

• Hot water low: 50°C. Below this, Legionella bacteria can grow.
• Hot water high: 60°C. Above this, there is a scalding risk at the tap.
• Hot water circulation (VVC): the return should stay within 50-60°C.

Change thresholds for the organization under Alerts → Notification Settings, per building in the building form, or per asset in its action plan.

Resolving a temperature alert

Fix the cause on site, for example adjust the water heater or a circulation valve. Then open the alert and select I've addressed it (awaiting data). The alert closes automatically when new measurements confirm the temperature is back within limits.
