How do I change the water type (hot/cold) for an asset?

Open the asset detail page and select Edit asset (not Edit configuration).

Options

• Automatic: Tempivo classifies hot or cold from the temperature pattern.
• Hot or Cold: fixed classification for the asset.
• Dual (hot + cold): one sensor monitors both pipes. Requires a dual probe layout.

For circulation monitoring, use the probe layout Dual supply + return (VVC).

After changing water type, verify pipe material and pipe size per probe so the calculated water temperature stays accurate. Alert thresholds (hot water low, cold water high, and so on) follow the water type.
